Jean,
You will find, that Elijah's pension was applied for by Sophia Ann, Elijah's second wife. After Susannah Baugh died, Elijah lost everything, 200 acres of land, house, live stock, furniture to the tax collector. He then remarried to Sophia Ann Smith Grubbs, widow of Jesse Grubbs, on Sept 8, 1889 in Casey County. After he passed away, Sophia had nothing to support the children with. She did not have any children by Elijah. I hope this helps.
