Hi Jason, Thanks for the info. I am looking for the family of my g grandmother Fannie C. Robinson (b. June 27, 1853-d. June 4, 1895), who married James Pinkney Whiteford Stamey (b. Feb. 12.1852-d.Mar. 9,1909. They were both born in Lincoln Co., Nc and they both are buried at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, located near Galax, Va. After researching the relationships of a list of names I found on a scrape of paper in my deceased Aunt's belongings (Mary Susanna Kistler, Henry Kistler, Warlick-Robinson, Daniel Warlick)I now believe that Susanna and Fannie Robinson are sisters and daus. of Henry Connor Robinson (son of David "Big Dave" Robinson and Rosanna Lillis Wilson) and Mary R. Warlick of Lincoln Co. Nc m.
Nov. 10, 1849 in Lincoln Co., Nc) It seems that Henry Connor died in 1854 and Mary died in 1863. So their children would have been orphaned at fairly young age. The 1860 Lincoln Census has a listing for a Fanna Robinson age 7 living in the household of Daniel Shuford and wife Hannah, (who I believe to be the sister of Henry Connor Robinson). There is a listing for a Mary Robinson age 34, as head of household with Jane, age 10, Aaron, age 8, and Susan , age 6. I believe this is Mary Robinson, widow of Henry Connor. I have been in contact with a descendant of Jane.In 1870 Lincoln Co. Census a Fannie Robinson, age 17, is listed in household of Levi Robinson, age 40, and wife Catherine (Hoke). Levi is brother of Henry Connor. There is a Susan Robinson, age 15, listed in the household of Daniel Hoover and wife Cynthia (Robinson), sister of Henry Connor. The 1880 census lists Adolphus Kistler, age 29, and wife Mary Susan, age 25, with son Henry Kistler, age 5 months.
Here is some of the circumstantial evidence for my belief that Fannie and Susan are sisters and Daus. of Henry Connor Robinson and Mary Warlick. Also Fannie and James Whiteford Stamey named a son Connor Lemuel.
Appreciate any info you have on the Robinson Family.
