Hi,
Johannes Kinsch/Kinch (b. 1774)is my ancestor and definitely had an "n" in his surname. I have found Kitch/Kitsch families in Lancaster and Cumberland Counties and make me wonder if there might be typos in the records. But they are distinct lines. My family always has to have that "n." See more by jumping to the KINCH FAMILY FORUM.

Michael Kinch

ps: the name was German, mutating from Kientsch to Kinsch to Kinch.
