Since we haven't been able to find our Johann Michael Kitch coming over to the Americas before 1729, one possible theory is they were in the 1709 (or subsequent) migrations from the Palatine to England (or Ireland), which then came from there to the Colonies. One of the lists mentioned a "Kiutsch" (or similar, I don't have it in front of me) in one of those waves.
