thank you for all of this. I will try harder to get it right. the story in my family was that they were "friends of Daniel Boone and went hunting with him" maybe there is truth to it. one of my ancesters was Capt. John Finley who was a surveyer of Kentucky and most like was the friend, i think. dont know for sure. they seemed to come there in 1700's. I too wish i had listened better when my grandmother talked. she knew so much and its all gone now. Thanks again. I will learn how to do the past posted messages thing also.
