Hi James,

I really don't have anything on Almedia Mitchell! In my files (if I'm not mistaken and this is the individual that you are speaking of) she is listed as Laura Almeda Mitchell. I noticed that you are spelling her name Almedia and so I probably need to correct that. She married "Lump" Kettle but I'm not even sure of his birth name or if it was really Lump. I have found in my own portion of the line that the family often uses nicknames for their kins entire life. My husband was surprised to learn the real names of some of his family! The Kittle and Kettle names are so close and I have a feeling that they are one in the same/related. So, HELP would be so very much appreciated. James, I love to work from the living sources and then I have a firm groundwork and some clues to work with on our family. I really don't know what your wife may have told you or where you grew up but just being related to one of the Mitchells and their related lines in Randolph County, Alabama means that you are just about related to the entire county (or so it seems - tee hee). I'm having fits gathering information on this line. By the way, I married into the Edmondson portion of the family and grew up in Texas so this hasn't been an easy task. I rely on the help of others and just run records to confirm the information. Then, expanding on our family history is relatively easy. I would love to send you a copy of what I've gathered thus far and hope that your wife can proof my work! Thanks so much for writing and let me know if I can send you my files...
