Reply from: Mildred Robinson;
Thank you for replying so quickly. My husband James had made the first contact for me. I believe Almeda Mitchell may not be mine. My Almeda was born about 1853 in Whitley co., KY. Her parents were William & Elizabeth Hart Mitchell.

1880 Census shows her with her husband, Henry W. Barton & children, William, L.N., Jesse L., Nancy E., & G.

"Kentucky Cemetery Records" Vol. I has grave marker for Henry W. Barton, b. april 11, 1852 - d. Aug. 27, 1885.

We cannot find any infromation on Almeda after the 1880 Census. When and where did she die? Did she remarry? Is our Almmeda the same person who married Lump Kettle?

by the way, almeda is the correct spelling of my Great grandmother's name. Mildred Robinson
