William Samuel Kittle's service in Rev. War

I am looking for any information that would confirm that William Samuel Kittle, no birth date, said to have died of wounds during the revolution, did serve. He was married to Elizabeth Wionna Burns, christened 27 Jun 1737. They were married about 1760 and had at least one son, Silas, born 1767. Any information would be appreciated. At this time William is not listed as a patriot. I would like to see that corrected if possible. Thanks, Kay
