Kitzmiller is one of the oldest names in what is now Adams Co. Pa. The death of Dudley Digges at Kitzmiller's Mill during a land dispute was one of the direct causes of the drawing of the Mason-Dixon line. The Digges claimed the property owned by Martin Kitzmiller and Dudley was killed by Jacob Kitzmiller. He was exonerated by the Pa. courts. This is one legend that is actually true. I am interested in local history so if you interested contact me.
