Glad to see your post. It's nice to know that someone else has an interest in Carey Kizer. It seems that I have been the only one. I didn't have this info on the death of Martha J. and the marriage and death of Julia.
Thanks so very much. I will see what I can find on the
Longfellow line. It may be of interest to you to know that
Carey also married while he was living in Richland County,
Wisconsin. The county records show "Cary Kizer to Catharine
Miller, April 13, 1852". This couldn't have been the Mary
who was the mother of the children on the 1880 census. As you may know, a Carey Kizer family bible was with a Rush
family in Highland Co., Ohio. Mary's name may have been
Rush but that marriage is yet to be found.
