Catherina Klar: Rheinland-Pfalz; 1721-1785
Posted by: James Marion Baker Date: November 26, 2001 at 10:03:14

Catherina Klar is an ancestor, lived in Heuchelheim, a village in the Rheinland-Pfalz, was married to Andreas Becker. They had several children. There were other families living in that area that may have been related to her, but who used varied surname spellings, such as Rudolph Claar and George Claar. Another source suggests that earlier Klars/Clars may have emigrated from Switzerland to the Rheinland-Pfalz. Incidentally, I also have ancestors named Klohr/Klor/Clor who lived about 35 miles away from Heuchelheim who did come from Switzerland. Can anyone help with further data.
