I have finally tracked down some more information on Gerhard (t) aka George Klatte. Gerdhard's birthplace is listed as Oldenburg Germany, sometimes listed as Breman, Germany. He came to the US around 1864-1865. He brought with him his spouse, Adelhaid Sular, b.1835. He also had the following children that were born in Oldenburg [all birthdates are approximate]: Anna (b.1858), John Heinrich (Henry)(b.1860); John (Johann) (b1862); John Albert (b1864). Gerhard was a farmer in New York. They settled in Yonkers. According to the 1880 Census, Gerhard also had a person old enough to be his father, named John (b.1804 in Oldenburg, Germany). Any information would be welcome!
