Paul, Marie, Emma and Albert Klatte departed from Swinemunde, Germany(town is now in present day Poland)and arrived on 25 Jun 1888 in New York, NY. The sailed on the Slavonia. Information is from the New York Passenger Lists, 1829-1957, Microfilm Serial M237-522, List number 857. Line numbers 35 through 38.

The 1900 US Federal Census has Paul Maria and Mary living in Springfield, Brown County, MN. their marriage date is listed as 1886. This is the first evidence that i have found of a Mary Klatte, age 14 at time of census, birth date Aug 1885. Mary is listed as the adopted daughter on the census. 1900 US Federal Census, Springfield, Brown County, MN, Roll: T623 758, page 14A

1910 Federal Census has Paul, Marie, and Albert living in Havre Ward 2, Chouteau, Montana. Year of immigration is listed as 1887. Albert is listed as "Son". 1910 Federal Census, Havre Ward 2, Chouteau, Montana, Roll: T624-830, page 2A.
