Hi Carol.
Fred & Rose Klawitter were also my great-grandparents, thru their son Elmer, & his son Clair. I believe that Mary had 2 daughters: Harriet & Evelyn. Are you connected thru one of them?

I have quite a bit of info on the Fred & Rose Klawitter family, their parents and brothers & sisters. As an abstract:

Frederick August Klawitter was born on October 21, 1865, as the second son of Johann Michael and Eva Rosine (Gassmer) Klawitter. He was born in the town of Hermannsdorf, in the state of Posen, Prussia. Hermannsdorf is now the town of "Radzicz", in the state of Bydgoszcz, Poland. Fred was baptized on November 5, 1865, in “Radsitz”. He immigrated to the U.S, arriving in New York with his parents and sister Pauline on April 10, 1884, on the steamer “S. S. Main”, out of Bremen. Frederick August Klawitter was married to Rosine Louise Götzke on January 23, 1886, in St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Mt. Carmel, Pa.. He died of heart disease on March 23, 1938 and was buried in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Pa. on March 26, 1938.

Rosine Louise Götzke was married to Frederick August Klawitter on January 23, 1886, in St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Mt. Carmel, Pa.. Their marriage is recorded in the records of St. Paul's, as well as in their application for a Marriage License on file in the Northumberland County courthouse. Rose was born on October 22, 1863 in the town of "Heidchen" to Johann and Wilhelmina (Kienitz) Götzke. She was baptized on November 1, 1863 in the "Evangelische Kirche" (Evangelical Church) in the town of Lobsens, in the state of Posen, Prussia. Lobsens is now the town of Lobzenica, in the state of Bydgoszcz, Poland. Rose died on January 20, 1943, in the Ashland State Hospital at Fountain Springs, Pennsylvania, and was buried on January 25, 1943 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Pa., next to her husband.

Fred and Rose Klawitter had twelve known children: Charles, Frederick, Henry, Minnie, Albert, Harry, Mary, Louis, Ida, Leonard, Elmer and Edward.

I’d be glad to share the family info I’ve collected. I’ll send you an email with contact info.
Regards ---- Bob Klawitter
