Hello Jan,

Wanted to respond because I think there's a connection here somewhere.

I have an ancestor, Peter Klaber or Kleber, born about the 1830s, in Germany. Lived in the Pittsburgh area.....passed away by 1870 because he doesn't show up on any census listings.

He had 4 children, Henry, Katherine, George and William.

The interesting thing is.....William, my gg grandfather, married into a family that came from Hesse-Darmstadt.

I can't figure out a connection yet, but I would think there has to be something.
