Shirlee, I tried to email you but I am not sure you got my message. I find that very interesting that three brothers came together to the United States. At first I thought you meant Lawrence County, Kansas but I could not find that so I tried Missouri and found Lawrence down by Springfield. I think that we might have a connection. It would be worth looking into. I guess passenger lists would be a good place. I need to look more up on the census. I found Carl as Karl on the 1900 census of Jackson County, Missouri. I don't think Kleeman is that common a name. Emma and Carl had their photos taken in Germany. On the back was stamped Berlin. I know they left family behind because they visited Germany once and took the whole family back with them. I wonder if there are emigration records? Email me when you have time.
