Dear Willi,

To say it's been easy to research the Kleeman/Clayman/Cleyman family line would be untrue. Since most German records are IN German (naturally)and I don't read/speak German it's difficult.

However due to another family "line" (Zentner/Sentner/Centner) that married a Kleeman I have a little information:

The Kleeman/Centner Marriage took place in Speck/Waren. Other Centner siblings were born in Dratow and Kargow.

My presumption was that my Clayman was from that area.
Truth is I've never actually confirmed my gr-gr-gr-grandfather's German first name. He was known as Fred in the US...but I have no idea if that was his first, second or third name. Spelling's of the last name were varies.
That's the most I know...
