This is a follow up to my own message
I have today (24 July 2006) made some progress on this family and the updated information is as follows;
My stepsons g-father,Philip, was born a Clynes (1925), but his brother Maurice was born a Kleinstuber (1921). Both were born in Sheffield.
My stepsons g-g-father was Philip J Kleinstuber who married a Florence G Wharton in 1920, also in Sheffield.
They obviously changed the name - whether legally or by just changing it - between the birth of Maurice and the birth of Philip.
It is still belived there is a musical contact & I have not proceded any further yet with the birth of their g-g-father - Philip J. This could be in Austria as that is were we believe they come from, although in research it does seem that the name Kleinstuber can come from Germany
Can anyone help me?
Regards
Gloria Lumley
