Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Kliem in Texax and history of same

There is a Bernd Kliem in Arlington. He was born in Berlin. His father was from East Germany (b. 1900) and mother from what was variously East Germany and Poland and born in Inowrawslowkov (as close as I can spell it). His brother is all over the web under the name of his father's business (Carl K).
He has no interest in his family's history and little is known of his father's family although mention was once made that a family member emigrated in late 1800's or early 1900's. There are many, many Kliems listed in the white pages on the Internet. Enter Kliem as a keyword on AOL and a ship is listed as leaving Hamburg in late 1800's with a Bertha Kliem, single, age 34 from Austria.
