Hi, I just recently traveled to Michigan as my father Charles Sims passed away there recently. I found piles and piles of family papers that I had thought were lost forever. Amongst the papers were letters from a soldier names John Henry Klieves who was stationed at a fort in Mo. He was writing home to Wheeling West Virginia. My father was also born in Wheeling West Virginia. J.H.Klieves was stationed at the fort around 1880 but it could be a relative. It seemed to coincidental to me. My fathers mother's sirname was Ley and her mothers maiden name was Bailey (maybe) and I belive her mother was named Klieves. One of the Klieve's wives maiden names was Franzell or Franzella. Hope this is helpful and what we are looking for. Thanks,
Harry Sims
