This is the information I have pieced together about Rev. Adam KLINEFELTER buried in Klinefelter Cemetery in Green Township of Summit County, Ohio. He was probably born 1796 in York County, Pennsylvania. He married Margaret DILLMAN 2 Aug 1825 in Stark County, OH (b. ca 1805 PA, d. 1 Jun 1879 OH), d/o Conrad and Mary Elizabeth BINDNAGEL. Children were:

Catherine b. 19 Dec 1833 OH, m. Mr. BOWMAN, d. 21 Jul 1909, bur. Klinefleter's

Amos b. ca 1835 OH

Simon b. 20 Dec 1840 OH, d. 23 Jan 1917 OH, bur. Klinefelter's

William b. ca 1843 OH

Elizabeth b. Mar 1845 OH, m. Jacob John LONG 19 Nov 1868 Summit Co, family moved to Iowa

Levi b. 1849 OH

There may have been other children who died young--Joel, Amelia, Joseph and Mary, all buried at Klinefelter's but not found in any census with Adam.

Adam was an Evangelical Church minister from 1817-1830. He became a farmer at that point. His cause of death was palsy.

I'd be happy to share my sources with anyone who is interested, and I am very interested in any additional information about this family.
