Thanks for writing --
I don't know whether the Roy Klinefelter you have is the same or not. I found a Roy Klinefelter in the Social Security Death Index born 14 Oct. 1886, died December 1973 in Sedro Woolley, Skagit Co., WA. My aunt (Nellie Brooks Klinefelter, b. 17 Nov 1891 d. 24 May 1929) and "my" Roy Klinefelter had the following children:
1. Ruth Ann Klinefelter, b. 29 June 1914 in Barger, WA, married Millard Lee MARLIN 1932
2. Ruby Mae Klinefelter, b. 18 Oct. 1916 in Barger, WA, married Loin Silvey WILSON 1936. I believe I still have Wilson cousins living in Benton City, WA.
3. Irene Ethel Klinefelter, b. 21 oct 1918 in Selah, WA, m. Clayton AFFLECK 1937.
4. William Brooks Klinefelter (called "Billie"), born 29 Oct 1920 Benton City, WA, married Irene STORHOFF.
When my father applied for Social Security he did not have a birth certificate since none were kept in Texas prior to 1903 or so. Roy Klinefelter was still alive at that time (1963) and he testified that he had been present at my father's birth in Texas in 1898. My father also had to have other proof, and he presented the family Bible record which listed his birth and his record of first registration to vote (1919). Anyway, he got his Social Security at age 65 in 1963.
Was Roy actually present? I don't know. If he was, then he was in Texas by 1898, at age 12 or so. Did any of your Klinefelter people go to Texas?
