I have 2 named Adam in my KLING family: Adam Shaffer KLING b 1833 Lancaster co, PA s/o John KLING jr and his son Adam. Thus it is a name appearing early in the family. However, I don't have information on families for the brothers of John Jr b1799, nor the brothers of his father John Sr b1767, etc. My line continues back through Stophel (Christopher)b1741 and (Johann) Christian b1706 Germany who immigrated 1732 on the Mary. I have heard he was from Wuerttemberg. I don't have documentation for these early dates.

For the locality of Ohio all I have is a John KLING b1824 of the Westeville OH area who was the son of Michael who migrated to OH from Lancaster co PA early 1827. His father was Lewis (Ludwig in German). This came from a contact July 2004 which I can supply if you wish.

Sorry I was not more helpful. If you ever connect to the Christian, Stophel or John mentioned above, I would be very interested in the information.
