Johan Kling married Victoria Held on September 21, 1868 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 110 W. Madison Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Witnesses Nicolaus Dreher and Peter Yax, Celebrant: Father Gallus Hoch.

ILLINOIS CENSUS: 1870 Roll 199, page 381, line 23, 3rd ward Chicago #1218/1785. 12 July 1870 John Kling, brick mason age 26, Bavaria Wife Dora 24 keeping house; daughter Theresa age 1. Also in household William Eanes? age 50, hotel head waiter.

A son Johan Benedict was born in 1872. Victoria Held Kling died 1877 in Chicago. By 1880 Johan has remarried to a Susanna age 29 (born Prussia) and is living in Paola, Miami County, Kansas Could not locate him in 1900 census for Kansas. Also not known where he remarried.

Any information about the later whereabouts of John and his two children would be most appreciated.
