I have a David H. Klinges married to a Mary R. Laux in my line. They had 4 children, David J., Carl R., Ruth M., and Leon L. They lived on Carey avenue in Wilkes-Barre. I know my neighbor across the street is definitely related to you because he mentioned the Flickenger name. We are currently trying to find our common link with the Klinges name. My David Klinges was 36 at the time of the 1920 census sheet that I have with another David Klinges (age 62)married to Elizabeth (age 52)with a daughter still at home by the name of Elizabeth (age 22). This David lived only a house or 2 away from my David, so I will assume that he is his father. I also have 1890 Wilkes-Barre City Directory with the Klinges listings as follows:
Christian, laborer, boarding at 84 Wood St.
Christian, miner, living at 171 Carey Ave.
David, painter, 201 Carey Ave. liquors, 159 Carey Ave.
Henry, butcher, living at 84 Wood Street
Sebastian, painter, living at 197 Carey Ave.
My Aunt and I believe that Sebastian is the painter of the beautiful angel mural on the ceiling of Saint Mary's Church in Wilkes-Barre. It certainly sounds like it has potential for being a match.
