Dear Pat,
the Directory-CD-ROMs come from several suppliers in Germany
(rival business) and several times in each year to make topical.
On a CD are about 35 millions listings with name, telephon number
and adress. The surface software is in german language
but can switch to English.
Performance and price are different, from 10 DM to 50 DM (Mark) + freight costs (may be very much).
I think a software-trader in USA can order and get it.
Here are two examples for suppliers:

Topware AG, Mannheim
http://www.d-info.de/produkte/d-info/index.cfm
name of CD-ROM: "D-Info Auskunft fuer Deutschland"
online-shop: http://www.d-info.de/shop/

Deutsche Telekom Medien GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (DeTeMedien)
http://www.detemedien-software.de
name of CD-ROM: "Das Telefonbuch für Deutschland"

Hello from Meissen in Saxony
Uwe
