Hi Dolores - I do not know if we have any connection. My family lived in Hamburg, Germany in 1850. Before that they lived in Estonia, then West Prussia. In the late 1850's, they moved to South Russia and then to the United States in 1876. If you see any connection, let me know. Where in Germany is Holzminden? My grandmother, born in Nebraska in 1887 gave me her doll when I was a little girl. It was made in Germany, about 9 inches tall, soft body, china head, feet, and hands.
