St. Charles (Illinois) Review, Oct. 11, 1878
On complaint of Cap. Crandall, Lewis Klink and Pat Garrity were arrested and taken before Magistrate Hunt, Wednesday night, on the charge of selling liquor. The rumor that Mr. Garrity has been selling has been quite common for some time, but we did not know that Mr. Klink has been disposing of the ardent for "lucre." The case was continued to Friday morning.
