My Dad has research this alot. He found records of the name changes as they got off the boat. I cannot remember the results.

His email is lklontz@yahoo.com . He will be here this week and I will try to bring him to the site. He found some records of a family crest also. All I can remember is he said they would pronounce their names as they got off the boats and the Englishmen at the roster would spell it as they saw fit. Whatever it sounded like, it was.
