Can anyone help with this spelling of CLAUNTS
Posted by: Judy Mayo (ID *****7472) Date: May 19, 2002 at 15:52:04

I am looking for any information on this spelling of CLAUNTS. Any help out there would be appreciated. The last name I have is James Harvey Claunts and William Nelson Claunts. James Harvey was born in 1831 in Burke, North Carolina. He is of German ancestry. I have looked at the different spellings of the name and don't find any matches. It has been told that his fathers name was Samuel Claunts and his mothers name Mary. I have found a Samuel Claunts married to a Mary Greer and they had a daughter named Martha in 1873 in North Carolina. I am at a standstill until I can get any information on Samuel Claunts. If you are looking for this spelling of Claunts I have a lot of information. Contact me at _GRAYHORSE@mail.lakewebs.net_ Thanks again for any help Judy Mayo
