Sept. 11, 2004 ~ Pamela WELLS nee ROBERSON transcribed the following from the 1860 Census: Per Census ~ Pg 25 ~ 3rd District ~ County of New York of New York on the 14th day of June 1860 ~ Post Office New York City: #53 #189 ~ Rebecca ROCKETT 45 F 5500 Joseph MACKEY 25 F Ella ROCKETT 6 F Ann BRADY 16 F Servant Alex MACKEY 30 M Mfr ?? Happy hunting, Pamela WELLS nee ROBERSON Other family surnames I am researching on my mother's side: BUBECK ~ KLOPFER ~ LAUTENSCHLAGER ~ BAISCH (all family surnames are originally from Germany and eventually migrated to the Dayton, OH and vicinity). Rosina Paulina (Polly) BUBECK nee KLOPFER ~ b. 21 Nov. 1858 ~ d. 17 Aug. 1927 was my g-grandmother maternally. I possess a photo of the BUBECK ~ KLOPFER family reunion and several other headstones for the BUBECK ~ KLOPFER family. The Reunion photo was taken in Gettysburg; however, it is not known whether the photo was taken at Gettysburg, PA or OH. My grandfather John Paul BUBECK and Rosina lived in Versailles, Darke County, OH and both she and John are buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles, Darke County, OH. They spent the greatest part of their lives in the Versailles area according to their obits; but, it is believed they originally lived somewhere in PA. Please contact me if you care to share additional information regarding these families! Thanks! It is not known whether Rebecca is related to Pauline Rosina; however, it is my belief they are. My mission is to continue to research the possible connection between these families. Happy hunting, Notify Administrator about this message?
