Mikki: I had an uncle named Elmer Kludt, who stayed at our home several times in the 1940's while on leave from the Army. He possibly could be the one you reference. He was killed while serving in the Army in late 1940's. Although I visited his widow once in 1964, I know nothing about any children he might have had.
