Dennis:

Thank you so much for the reply. I wasn't going to get into the Kludt's too deeply, but all of a sudden I've got papers & names all over trying to fit them all together.

Christopher Kludt was originally married to Anna Hirthe. Got that from a marriage application for their daughter Ella or Eleanore in 1905 to Oscar Hilgendorf. But it did not state she was alive, just the mother's name. So if Christopher remarried Martha [Moeller] abt 1899, they had 1 child, Elmer [I knew him personally]. So then Christopher originally had with Anna, besides "Ella", Edmund, Clara & Hilda. Clara pops up as a witness to the wedding. "Ella" was my grandmother. Starting to make sense.

I would appreciate your offer of sending me those census records.

I really appreciate your help! I'm fairly new to genealogy. Addictive. The word "accuracy" wasn't in the dictionary back then yet.
