Knack/Brodt family, Chicago, 1880-1930

How could a huge branch of one family disappear so effectively?
Rudolph Knack and Augusta Brodt married in Chicago 4 Dec 1880. They had three daughters, Margaret in 1881, Emma in 1883 and Laura Katherine in December 1886.

Margaret married Rudolph Westphal and had two children, Arthur and Margaret.

Emma married Edward Rudolph Beyer and had six children, Mildred, Eleanor, Edward, Lucille, Robert and Ruth.

Laura Katherine married George Carl Anstett in about 1909 and had George C. and Vernon E.

Augusta Brodt is the sister of my great-grandfather Herman Brodt. She is my Brodt nemesis and this whole family seems to have disappeared after 1930 or so.

Anyone look familiar?
Cheers,
Kay
