Hi Julie
Thanks for your offer of sending me the baptism record on Gladys, I would love to see it. As yet I can't find any information on Samuel or Anna or his parents but could you send me more information about them like when they were born. I went today to the Family Records Center in London at Kings Cross in the records I found in the 1891 census the following:
Stephen and Louisa Knapper living at Liverpool road, Kidsgrove, with two kids:
James and Lily.
James was 15 years old and Lily was 11.
Stephen was 41 and his wife was 44.
Stephen was a coal miner and James was a coal pit boy.
They were all born in Kidsgrove.

I also found a
James the son of Enoch and Martha Knapper, James also had a brother John and a sister Alice.
James was 13 at the time. Again they were born in Kidsgrove and all living in Peal street.

Hope this helps.
Alice
