I'll start with Christopher Knapper's family tree:
I am trying to find out about his family and am trying to trace his ancestors.
Firstly there is him -
CHRISTOPHER KAY KNAPPER (born March 4,1940)
(There are no brothers or sisters that survived beyond infancy).
the only son of -
HAROLD ALFRED KAY KNAPPER (born April 21 1902) & HILDA NEVITT.
HAROLD'S father and mother are -
GEORGE KNAPPER(born around 1879) & JANE KAY (married June 29, 1901).
At the time of marriage they were living at 184 Mill Street, Crewe.
His profession is listed as 'boilermaker'.
GEORGE'S father was also called GEORGE,
who was an 'Engine-man'.
If anyone has any information on Christopher and his family I would be very pleased to receive it.
Then there is my family tree...
All my family come from in and around the Kidsgrove area in the County of Stafford.
My grandfather WILLIAM FRED KNAPPER (b1928) married EILEEN ADAMS (b1928).
WILLIAM FRED was one of 6 children: ARTHUR, ALICE, DORIS, ELSIE, my grandfather and ERIC.
Their parents were -
ARTHUR (1896-1962) & MARGARET ELLIS (1892-1975).
ARTHUR was one of 5 children, the others were:
Their parents were STEPHEN(1864-?) & HARRIET ROWBOTHAM (1866-?).
STEPHEN was one of 9 children and the others were:
SARAH ANN(1852-?(married John Dale)),
JANE (1853-?(married Martin Dale & had 2 sons (Arthur and Fred)- both died the same day in the 1st World war)),
Their parents were SAMUEL(1827-?) & MARY ANN DEAN.
(Samuel was a collier as was his father James).
SAMUEL'S parents were JAMES AND ?
If any one has any information on any of my family, and especially on Samuel's father James, I would gladly receive it. If any one needs any help I would be happy to offer any assistance, for I have many other baptism and marriage records and census records for 1881 and 1891 in the Kidsgrove area.
Thank you very much.
