Hello Alice
If you received a copy of my email to Christopher Knapper enclosing my family tree back to my great-grandfather Daniel Knapper, you will see that he was born in Kidsgrove in 1827. Since this is the same location and date as Samuel Knapper it is likely that they were closley related. However I cannot at the moment I have not been able to find any further information regarding Daniel e.g. father's name etc.
Regards,
Dennis
