Hi Leon
Oldcott is at the top of a road/hill called Liverpool Road known locally as Kidsgrove Bank or in dialect Kickrew Bonk.
The road takes you from the town of Kisdgrove to Goldenhill once broke into two villages of Oldcott and Golden Hill. Nowadays they have become one village area which is also absorbing Sandyford onte road into Tunstall.
Oldcott Farm should be on the oldmaps website run by the ordnance survey people.
I live in Sandyford at present and worked as fireman in Kidsgrove for 14 yrs so know most of the roads in the area if you want any clarification.
Currenly researching Oldott and Goldenhill Turnock and Tunstall families and a few Knappers for my mate Kelvin.
regards Gareth
