Hello Gareth
I was very intersted in your post. To answer your first question I have compiled my family tree in powerpoint format ,which goes back as far as Daniel Knapper born 1827 ( or 1824) in Kidsgrove (I think in the parish of Wolstanton ). I attempted to post this to the forum but couldn't My "technical skills" are not that great! If you or anyone knows how to do this I'd happy to add my research to this board.

I have emailed Wolstanton Library and am waiting for a reply.
Frank (Dennis) Knapper
