Just to say Hello 2

Having had nothing to say of any interest of late I've been silent though I have still followed the fortunes of the site.
Recently I have had good fortune albeit from a sad event. The second wife of Reginald Knapper my dad's older brother died in Leeds. I went to the funeral and met up with a cousin, Reginald's daughter, who I haven't seen for years. She told me that she had been going through her dad's old photographs, which he had meticulously annotated, and found quite a few of the family. So I now not only have photographs of my grandfather and grandmother Herbert and Ellen Knapper in their post marriage and younger days but I am now also the proud possessor of a photograph of my great grandfather and grandmother Herbert and Eliza (nee Beech) Knapper. The latter Herbert(b1858) was the son of William Knapper born Kidsgrove circa 1830. Herbert had brothers William(b1854), Thomas, George(b1862), Henry(b 1867) and John(b1869)All were born in Burslem.
I consider myself to be very lucky.
Regards
Leon Knapper
