Knapton Family Gillingham Dorset

I would appreciate any help about the Knapton family history. James Sanger wed Elizabeth Knapton, marriage on 8 May 1822, witnesses Shadrach Knapton and Ann Sanger. They had seven children the eldest being Mary born 2 Feb. 1823. According to the 1841 Gillingham Census the family lived in Peacemarsh and James’ occupation then was an agricultural labourer.

Mary Sanger married Edward Hall on 18 April 1841 at the Established Church in Gillingham. They lived in Wyke (according to the Census) before they migrated to Australia, leaving Plymouth with their family of seven children aboard the Barque “VICTORY” on 7 August 1857; arriving in Melbourne on 4 November 1857.

Edward Hall’s father was Samuel Hall and his mother was Jane Knapton.
