HELP! KNAUFs OF BUTLER CO. PA
Posted by: Susan Cote (ID *****4119) Date: October 14, 2002 at 05:27:06

Hello,

I'm searching for information on the KNAUF/KNAUFF line from the Butler County area of PA. My KNAUF line married into the MARTIN family in the same area - which in turn married into the DUNBAR family.

The names I'm searching are as follows:

Mary Knauff no information other than she married James G. Martin sometime between 1850-1870. Their daughter Leyda/Lydia Martin was my g,grandmother. She married Harry C. Dunbar of Middlesex township, Butler PA.

I know and have pictures of KNAUFs buried in the Middlesex U.P. cemetery in Penn township some of the names are,
Michael Knauf, Matilda Knauf, Barbara E Knauf
Eliza Knauf, wife of Michael. Arthur M. Knauf and a Herman & Mary (Knauf?) Heckbert.

If any of this information sounds remotely familiar please contact me.

Thank you!

Sue Dunbar-Cote
