I am attempting to track down the ancestry of Andy Knecht who was born in 1853 in Cincinnati. Andy (which is my son's name, hence the interest) enlisted in 1873 in the U.S. Cavalry, and was a private in E Company of the 7th Cavalry and died with Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876 at the age of 23. I am interested in cousins he may have had to determine if there is any relation.
