We do indeed know of a Maria Magdalena Knecht. Based on your approximate birthdate, I believe she is the daughter of Peter and Anna Barbara Knecht of Reihen, Germany. Their daughter was born on April 27, 1698 in Reihen. Peter was the schoolmaster in Reihen at the time. Their second child was Johan Jacob Knecht, our ancestor, born Dec. 13, 1699. He emigrated to the United States in 1729, on the Ship Allen, landed in Philadelphia, and settled in Bucks Co., Penn. A younger brother, Georg Peter, also emigrated to Pennsylvania at a later date. I have a copy of the Knecht family birthdates and marriages from the Church book from Reihen Germany from 1640 to 1790. Unfortunately, I'm setting up a new computer, and the file is not transferred yet. I will be happy to e-mail you a copy of what I have transcribed in family groupings that make more sense than the chronological list, as soon as I get it on this new computer.
Are you related to her? If so, how. We have a descendents list to our family from Johan Jakob Knecht (Knight in the US.).
