John Knecht from In to Oh in late 1800's

I am looking for any information on a John KNECHT (later changed to Knight)b. 1864 in Indiana. His father was born in Switzerland according to the 1900 Cenus of Cleveland, Ohio. But from Germany in the 1910 Census of Cleveland Ohio.
John KNECHT married a Elizabeth (GROSR?)WESTENFELDER in Cleveland, Ohio in 1893. They had three boys, Frank b. 1894, Edward b. 1896 and Arthur John b. 1898.
Family rumor has it he left Elizabeth. I can not find him in the Cleveland Cenus of 1920.
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? I've hit a wall, any help would be appreciated. Denise Knight
