Dear Thomas: I am Judy (Kneifl) Schrader, great- granddaughter of Philip Kneifl who came to Nebraska from the La Crosse, Wisconsin, area in 1968 or 1870. Philip had a sister whose name was Agnes who came to Nebraska a bit later. She had married Caspar
Schaefer in Wisconsin and they settled in an area between Menominee and Crofton, Nebraska. I have some information about the Schaefer families, but I have not completed that research yet. I am writing without the benefit of my Kneifl family history pages, and so I can only tell you of this Agnes. I do have quite a lot of information about the Kneifls in Nebraska, and a cousin of mine, Ann Guenther, also has information. I would be happy to help you research this Agnes Kneifl connection. I am a highschool teacher and so do not have much time, but I will be happy to do what I can. Could this Agnes be the one your wife is interested in? Let me know. Judy Schrader.
