My great great grandparents, Henry and dorothea Knipfel, emigrated from Germany in about 1846-1848, and settled in the Waterloo area of Ontario, where they raised 8 children. Two sons, John and Samuel, emigrated to Missouri in the 1870s or 1880s. I believe that Samuel went directly to Missouri while John went first to Kansas then to Missouri. Three other of the family, Maria, Otto, and Caroline moved to Kansas in the same time period and Otto returned to Waterloo in about 1885. Otto was my great grandfather. My grandfather grew up in Waterloo, attended Medical college in Toronto then moved to Saskatchewan in 1906. My parents and immediate relatives are for the most part still in this province. I would like to reestablish contact with relatives and would much appreciate any information you might have. I was planning to visit the Missouri and Kansas areas in the coming year and would welcome any contacts you might suggest. Thanks.
