Hi Ruby,
I saw your message regarding Talley/Knighton families. My husband's great grandfather was Vernon Knighton who lived in Orange County very close to Fredericksburg, VA. I have suspected for some time that there is some kind of relationship between this Knighton and the Talley family but do not know the connection. I do know that a Nellie Talley was executor of Vernon's will but other than that don't know. He has been my stumbling block for a long time. His father was James Knighton and his mother was Annie Adams. Do you know of a connection? Any info would be appreciated. I have no information on James and Annie except for two census listings.
