Hello,
I am descended from Moses Carooth Knighton, brother to Samuel Ewing Knighton. He was my gggrandfather. I know that he was also in the Confederate Army ,Co. B,2nd (Storey's) Regt., Infantry, Ga State line. My line is Moses Carooth Knighton(b. Feb. 13, 1825 -d. Sept. 25, 1890)-> Walter Warren Knighton(b.Feb. 14, 1866 in Randolph County,Ga- d.Sept. 25, 1930) -> Perkins Knighton( b. April 21, 1896 in Randolph County,Ga-d. Jan. 18, 1975 in Columbus,Ga). My mother is Perkins Knighton's daughter.
I also believe that Missouri Clementine and Serena Jane Lewis were sisters. I believe their father was Green B. Lewis , who was the postmaster in Georgetown,Ga in the 1850's .
I would be interested in exchanging information .
Thank you,
Mary Meadows
