I had not been looking at Knightons for some time and did not see this message when you posted it. I believe the William there may be my great grandfather who married Matilda Waddle in Benton Co., AL and whose occupation in the 1860 census of Calhoun Co., AL (formerly Benton)was shoemaker the same as in the one you have posted.
I know it has been 1 1/2 years since your posting but I hope you can clarify one point for me. Did you find this on an actual census image? The reason I ask is the same information in an index I found gave all three of these men's last names as "Highton". I would not trouble you with the questions but I don't have access to the actual images online at this time and have not been able to get to a library or National Archives to check it out.
I feel sure you were correct but want to double check before adding them to my records.
